H&M Vörösmarthy tér flagship store (6,000m2)
Accurate comparison of the site and the plans on 2D basis so that the preparation and the marking out processes of the execution can start on reality-basis, and the final consolidated gen-plan can help the management team to have a holistic overview.
Location: Budapest city center, Exchange Palace, Hungary
Project:
- Accurate comparison of the site and the plans on 2D basis so that the preparation and the marking out processes of the execution can start on reality-basis, and the final consolidated gen-plan can help the management team to have a holistic overview.
- Screed analysis: there is a need to put a more precise than standard screed under the 80X80 cm pavement. We performed the laser scanning survey for the floor as well, and with the result of a flatness report we provided analyzed data for measuring the reference height values on 6,000 square meters and cubic meter data for ordering materials. We also identified the areas above the tolerance level where milling of the surface was necessary
- During the laser scanning we performed various mechanical tests of the screed, and we mapped out the complete solution together with the manufacturer on – site
Solution:
- Planning the accurate scanning position and the duration
- Laser scanning survey coordinated with the manufacturers
Deliverables:
- Adopting the planned status and existing conditions into one plan, highlighting all the deviations with colours on-site that have an impact on the original concept design
- Listing all the deviations with a software and summarize them in a Q&A form
- Screed mechanical testing
Added Value:
- Reality-based coordination of the Swedish and local designers, so the on-site deviations compared to the planned status could be agreed on well before the implementation. This made it possible to eliminate waste due to delayed technical decisions
- By providing the floor analysis, the necessary materials could already be specified in the preparation phase, which is especially important in case of such an important central building, where logistics impose major challenges on the company’s management
